Community
Believing strongly in “giving back,” our community set up the Mustique Charitable Trust in 2008. Financed by donations from the Mustique Company, owners and guests, the Trust has spent more than US$ TK helping the children, youth and vulnerable adults of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. For details and donations, e-mail admin@mustiquechaitabletrust.com or go to www.mustiquecharitabletrust.comAs any guest will tell you, Mustique isn’t just a luxury destination for the fortunate few, it’s a thriving and engaged community with established, well-supported institutions and a diverse population that grows as high as 1,300 people during the peak summer months.
Run by Dr. Michael Bunbury, our Health Clinic stands by 7 days a week to treat all guests and residents (the rare, more serious cases are airlifted to Barbados or Martinique).
At the local Mustique Primary School students aged 5 to 11 are educated by local and international teachers. The Mustique Community Library, just next door has over 1000 books and hundreds of DVDs to choose from. Our sweet little Bamboo Church can hold up to TK congregants for weddings and Anglican services (every Sunday morning). And we even have our own History Museum. Housed in the original sugar mill dating back to the 18th Century, it has a small but intriguing collection of artifacts and historic memorabilia.
