MUSTIQUE CONSERVATION NEWS

Marine debris is the planet’s new normal. Only 1% of the plastics in the ocean wash ashore, and that may seem like a small amount, but unfortunately this equates to A LOT of bits and pieces on beaches all around the world. Along our beautiful rocky shores of Mustique, the Atlantic Ocean brings us all sorts of debris- lots of toothbrushes, flip flops, lighters, even a piece of a rocket has come ashore in the past! We do our part to collect and remove these items as best as we can, and make sure we have fun doing it.

Here’s what we collected a few weeks ago during an island wide beach clean up!
